Financial Aid at SUNY Plattsburgh

We're Here to Help

Did you know that five of six SUNY Plattsburgh students have some form of financial aid?

The Financial Aid Office at SUNY Plattsburgh processes over $60 million in financial assistance each academic year. Aid is offered from federal, state, institutional and private programs.

Window and phone service is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (except for Thursdays when we open at 9:00 am).

Excelsior Scholarship Program

With the passage of the FY 2018 State Budget, New York is now home to the nation's first accessible college program - The Excelsior Scholarship

Under this groundbreaking program, more than 940,000 middle-class families and individuals making up to $125,000 per year will qualify to attend college tuition-free at all CUNY and SUNY two- and four-year colleges in New York State. The new program begins in the fall of 2017 and will be phased in over three years. Learn more.

SUNY Smart Track: Financial Literacy Tools

SUNY Smart Track Financial Avenue is an online learning environment that empowers students for a lifetime of financial success. The interactive financial aid literacy tools can assist students to achieve smart money management skills. Courses and modules cover topics that include budgeting, credit cards, identify theft, paying for college, banking, debt, working in college, and savings.
